BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION FOR DR. RON L. HAMILTON
Dr. Ron Hamilton has pastored in the North Carolina East District of the Wesleyan Church, serving as senior pastor of Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church for the past
twenty-eight years. He served on staff at Asheboro Health & Rehabilitation Center as Chaplain for 25 years. He was also a weekly radio speaker for more than fourteen years. Before serving in the North Carolina East District, Dr. Ron Hamilton served two churches in the South Carolina District of the Wesleyan Church, Union and Fellowship.
He was active in district work, serving on committees and boards in the North Carolina East District. He served as a revival evangelist, camp meeting evangelist, Sunday School Rally speaker and a former Director of Sunday Schools in the NC East District. He also maintained an active counseling ministry, both to members of his congregation and citizens of the community.
Dr. Hamilton has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Wesleyan University and a Master of Bible Theology degree from International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida and in 1990 received his Doctor of Ministry degree from the University of Biblical Studies in Bethany, Oklahoma. In 1982 Dr. Hamilton received the OUTSTANDING YOUNG MEN OF AMERICA recognition. Dr. Hamilton received the honor of being named a KENTUCKY COLONEL by the State of Kentucky in 1994 and in 1998 received the nationwide register’s WHO’S WHO IN EXECUTIVES AND BUSINESSES recognition for inclusion in the 1998-1999 edition. In 2007, Dr. Hamilton received the Charles E. Apple Legacy Award for the N.C. East District, recognizing twenty-five years of service at Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church, Asheboro, N.C.
Dr. Hamilton’s vision for the future is to be well equipped intellectually in ministry and to step along side of the local church pastor and help build up the church in the most holy faith, by offering a practical ministry in biblical preaching, teaching and studies. It is also his aim to minister to those that are hurting and looking for direction for their
problems.
